«Ковш» Большой Медведицы — это не созвездие. ("Bucket" Ursa Major - is not a constellation)

Мы привыкли считать небесный «ковш», состоящий из 7 ярких и легко различимых звёзд, созвездием Большой Медведицы. Но на самом деле «ковш» — это астеризм, являющийся только частью этого созвездия...


Астеризм — это легко различимая группа звёзд, имеющая исторически устоявшееся самостоятельное название.

Созвездие Большой Медведицы состоит из огромного количества звёзд и выходит далеко за пределы всем знакомого «ковша с ручкой». Кроме них, в созвездии насчитывается ещё 125 звёзд ярче 6-й звёздной величины.

We used to think of heaven "bucket", which consists of 7 bright and easily recognizable stars, the constellation Ursa Major. But in fact "scoop" - it's asterism, which is only part of this constellation.

Asterism - is easily discernible group of stars that has historically well-established independent name.

Big Dipper constellation consists of a large number of stars and far beyond all the familiar "bucket handle". Apart from these, in the constellation has an additional 125 stars brighter than 6th magnitude.
